This Korean Version would be the third Asia version of Path of Exile following Southeast Version agented by Garena from 2014, and Chinese Version agented by Tencent from 2016. By convention, we would presume that Kakao Games will run Korean Version for GGG and becomes the only agent of this game. However, when it comes to the other roles that Kakao Games possibly plays, for instance, developing and updating the game as requested, we can't be sure enough to draw a conclusion on that.
It is, however, a big surprise for all Korean players rooted for this game for years. With a Korean version of Path of Exile built, The barrier to reading, communicating, engagements, payments for Korean players in the game now will be removed or alleviated to a larger extent. As soon as this information went public, there has been a pile of applauses and hurray flocking into the comment area. Most are the comments like "Finally, they made it" or "It's so glad to see the community expanding" in Korean or English.
Here is the list of highlights of the Korean version of Path of Exile would present in the future:
- A full translation into Korean.
- Support for Korean payment methods through Kakao Games' payment systems.
- Korean customer support provided by Kakao GameS.
- Simultaneous release with the English version.
- Local Korean servers for low-latency play.
