Bethesda’s mobile action-RPG tops the App store with one million downloads following its early access launch. Announced at E3 2018, The Elder Scrolls: Blades went live on iOS and Android last week for players who had signed up for early access, and has already been downloaded by more than one million users in its first seven days, and has already made almost $500,000 in revenue. Sensor Tower reports that the game is at No.1 in the download charts, with 42% (420,000) of downloads coming from the US. US players also accounted for 76% of spending, totalling around $380,000. This data is only for iOS, so total downloads are likely to be a fair bit higher. The game is free-to-play, but contains in-app purchases to hasten player progress, including Silver Chests that hold gold and items, like equipment, supplies, and materials. The Elder Scrolls: Blades received an update this week to iron out a few kinks, with Bethesda promising further balance tweaks, specifically for the Silver Chest....

RuneScape just made a decision to cast its Companion App off shortly. The decision is well-explained in a brief announcement that has been put up on the official website billboard, saying the RuneScape Companion App is too old to be maintained by the tech support.  The RuneScape Companion is a free application used for various interactions with the game. When Epic Games launched Fortnite last summer, it only included the paid-for, narrative game mode, Fortnite Save The World. While more than one million players were willing to pay for it around launch time, Epic Games had planned to open it to everyone by making it free to play sometime in 2018. Unfortunately for those hoping to play Fortnite Save The World without spending a dime, Epic Games has now announced that it is pushing back the proposed free to play changeover. In a blog post published today, the developer explains that the team is “working on a broad set of features, reworks, and backend system scaling we believe are needed to go free-to-play.” As consolation for the delay, Epic has also announced a Fortnite Save The World sale of 50% off for this week (Standard, Deluxe, Super Deluxe, and Limited Founder’s packs).
