The Elder Scrolls: Blades Tops The App Store In Its First Week On iOS

Bethesda’s mobile action-RPG tops the App store with one million downloads following its early access launch. Announced at E3 2018, The Elder Scrolls: Blades went live on iOS and Android last week for players who had signed up for early access, and has already been downloaded by more than one million users in its first seven days, and has already made almost $500,000 in revenue. Sensor Tower reports that the game is at No.1 in the download charts, with 42% (420,000) of downloads coming from the US. US players also accounted for 76% of spending, totalling around $380,000. This data is only for iOS, so total downloads are likely to be a fair bit higher. The game is free-to-play, but contains in-app purchases to hasten player progress, including Silver Chests that hold gold and items, like equipment, supplies, and materials. The Elder Scrolls: Blades received an update this week to iron out a few kinks, with Bethesda promising further balance tweaks, specifically for the Silver Chest....

The Elder Scrolls Blade Might Have Been Delayed Intentionally By Bethesda

Bethesda Games, as one of the popular games' producers and publishers, announced an intriguing plan regarding brand-new The Elder Scrolls title for mobile back at E3 2018. This is the first trial for ESO Franchise on the mobile platform. Given that the announcement had mentioned its release date had been set in Fall 2018 and the game displays on the iOS App store list, it appears that it would have come out soon. The release date of The Elder Scrolls Online: Blades remained uncertain status since then. Later, Bethesda announced it would be on September 7, 2018. But it was revised into sometime in December soon after that. Although the date showed up on App Store was claimed to be a placeholder by Bethesda. The truth behind the announced date is they are putting the whole thing off into December 31th, because placeholder dates are usually the end of a quarter. A placeholder date statement didn't cover the story at all. Considering that Bethesda changed it to September 7 later, w...

Fortnite Battle Royale Revenue Hits $300 Million in 200 Days on iOS Devices

Fortnite’s iOS version has hit a major milestone in just 200 days of being on the App Store. After 200 days since its release on Apple’s App Store, Fortnite has hit $300 million in revenue from the iOS edition of the game. That might sound like nothing compared to the fact that the game’s editions combined to hit $316 million in May alone, but for purely an iOS version to hit a milestone of $300,000,000 in revenue is ultimately mindblowing. The statistic is a testament to the popularity and influence of the game, and the fact that Fortnite had its largest ever month last month speaks that. The milestone – hit in just 200 days since the launch of Fortnite on iOS – is almost a record breaker. It is the second most amount of money an app on iOS has made in its first 200 days, just losing to Pokemon Go’s $300 million in revenue in only 113 days. PUBG Mobile has only made $47 million in the over 200 days it has been on the iOS Store, but it didn’t add microtransactions until a mo...
