Final Fantasy XIV Little Ladies' Day Event Is Around The Corner

To Celebrate Little Ladies' day, Final Fantasy XIV will be launching an annual in-game event from tomorrow to March 13th for two weeks.  Little Ladies' day is a traditional holiday in the realm of Eorzea in Final Fantasy XIV. It can be traced back to the Legend of the Lost Lady. The holiday event first appeared in 2014, featured all sorts of adventures and quest coming with rewards and prizes after fulfilling them. However, none of them can be redeemed until the whole event concludes. The Eorzean Legend of the Lost Lady is tragicomedy-genre mythology that happened in the ancient Ul'dah, where was ruled by a despotic Sultan at that moment. The Sultan impresses his subjects as an irritable and arbitrary governer who shows less mercy on lower classes than he supposed to. He, however, has only one daughter who has all his attention and fondness so that he determined to confine her in the royal palace and assign over fifty handmaidens and seneschals as her retinue since sh...

The Soundtracks Improvements For The Synthesis League: A Banal Creation From Mediocrities?

Path of Exile unveiled more details regarding the soundtrack improvements and add-ons in the next Synthesis League on the official announcement. Some in-game areas will have different ambient soundtracks from the ones used for now while a few soundtracks of others have been remastered and will have been added in the game in on time.  There is a presentation video of these upcoming soundtracks of Path of Exile areas from the next Synthesis League on Youtube. However, the players' reaction towards these changes didn't reach a consensus. Some of the viewers said these improvements are "worthy in time" while a few couldn't pass over the "mediocrity" and "incongruity" these changes brought to the game. Well, some others even explicitly acknowledged that none of the soundtracks or their up and downs whatsoever mattered so much to them cause they have their "own things". Although criticism towards some aspects of the update seemingl...

Apex Legends Player Spent $500 To Unlock A Rare Item, Says 'It Wasn't Worth It'

If you’re lucky enough to beat the odds, opening a loot box in Apex Legends might get you a set of “heirloom” items. These are extremely scarce cosmetic items with a less than one percent chance of dropping, though you’re guaranteed to get one after 500 boxes. One player ended up spending $500 to go through 500 boxes in the hopes of getting the illusive items. Now that he has them, he doesn’t feel like it was worth it. Cole is a 24-year-old who claims himself have been gaming all his life. He’s no stranger to microtransactions in many of their forms, including loot boxes. Cole told Kotaku over Reddit private messages that before Apex Legends , he was playing Fortnite . In a post that’s now been removed from the Apex Legends subreddit—though lives on in a cached version on Google—Cole wrote that he played Overwatch and Rocket League as well. “These games didn’t tempt me into ludicrous spending. In my many hours in both games I probably spent less than $30 total,” he w...

New Forms Of Private League And A Firm Date Of The PS4 Version: Solace Isn't A Cure

Path of Exile declared a new patch would release before the Synthesis League goes live. The upcoming patch is presumably the last one of the Betrayal League. Also, it may be a blend of the warm-up round for next league and the last "tie-up-the-loose-ends" work. And that's very typical and commonly acknowledged for the game's development patterns, considering it's already happened to several predecessors.  The patch, or should call 3.5.4b patch to be precise, has very limited contents yet extremely crucial cause each of them is hard to be overlooked. In this patch, the game determined to open up the entry to build private leagues based on the Synthesis league for all Path of Exile Gamers, however, note that those private leagues will not be accessible and functional until the Synthesis goes live on March 8th.  The Private League is quite a hit in Path of Exile since it has been rolled out back in November 2018. Private League is the sign of the utmost custom...

Path Of Exile Feb. 21 Development Manifesto: Converting Betrayal League Into A Core Game Mechanic

As the first announcement of the game's next league went live, Grinding Gear Games has managed to unveil its reputedly great plan of integrating Betrayal Expansion into the core game mechanic in Path of Exile based on the announcement. Although it barely mentioned how this integration works and what will happen after the integration, the announcement seemed to be off to a great start and now the bombshell comes - Development Manifesto from Grinding Gear Games!  As a matter of fact, the Betrayal League still concerns the most of Path of Exile gamers, even though it's been told to be succeeded by Synthesis League in next month. Today's Development Manifesto is sort of a further explanation and declaration of the original statement "an integrated version of the Betrayal league and much, much more" in the Synthesis league announcement. Although turns out, players are not so exhilarated and contented for this Manifesto as they heard the news from the original...

The Havoc Energy Rifle In Apex Legends: The Newly-added Weapon Is The Hybrid Of The Advanced Technology And The Fantasy Towards Future

Apex Legends already launched the first major update and it is all about a new weapon. The first announcement of this update was revealed by the game developer Respawn Entertainment on Twitter and the attached video detailed on the firm date of its release: Wednesday, Feb. 20. Although the video attached in the official Tweet is too brief to showcase more specifics of this new weapon. We still managed to see through what the weapon looks like in action. The gun appeared to be sort of an automatic rifle. The video is a quick presentation of what this new gun looks like, how to function it and what the specialty it has. As far as we know, the gun has a charge shot that probably does extra damage. It's not the common ammo this weapon would use. But we aren't able to confirm whether the charge option of this gun is limited to a weapon modifier or not.  All the puzzles and questions have already evaporated as the release of this update and its official trailer launched ...

Alongside the release of the Synthesis League on March 8th, there are some attached new contents will be deployed to Path of Exile too. Among these improvements, one particularly intriguing element is the spellcasting overhaul. It's believed that there haven't been any major updates of spellcasting in the game since the Delve league had launched back in 2018. So this overhaul is sort of the long-awaited improvement for the Path of Exile players.  Earlier today, Grinding Gear Games posted its first batch of unveiled specifics regarding the spells overhaul. Two upcoming new Auras called Zealotry and Malevolence respectively will be introduced to the game in March Update. The Auras are subject to the debuff/buff system and also function as a spellcasting reinforcer. It means that any in-game Auras are the items that can enhance the spell damages more or less in their own ways. Also, as its name implies, it usually shows up with a round shape, a certain radius which c...
