MapleStory 2: A Severe Exploit Was Dug Out By A Redditor Again, Where This Nightmare Ends?

Another calamity happened to MapleStory 2 and its Devs Team again just hours ago. A Redditor who has declined to reveal his real name reported a severe exploit that had been illicitly taken advantage of by plenty of MapleStory 2 players for months while Nexon was unable to inflict any form of punishment for them all the time. The Redditor, named TewiUsagi, was so positive about the allegations against this mass exploit's abuses and Nexon's last-for-months negligence that he even called on the forum moderator to inspect whether there is any form of "witch hunting" or "offending any rules" in his report or not and take actions on that accordingly.

Based on the report he posted on Reddit, an exploit, which has been discovered and abused in MapleStory 2 since the first week of CPap's release (Short for Chaos Papulatus), allows players to transfer their weapons between characters, even if these weapons were equipped and bond to one character before. The Redditor clarified why it takes him so long to report this issue in public, saying he "was going to stay quiet about this and wait for Nexon to solve it" while there weren't any tweaks implemented by Nexon to fix that all the time, and then he tried to secretively "report this exploit to a VFM but Nexon still gave no answer about it". Given that he didn't want to see the same episode of "abusers unpunished because no one knew about it" again which had already occurred during September with Musking Royale, he determined to expose anything he knows about this exploit's abuse in Reddit to avoid that.

Another concern that prompted the Redditor to expose this issue is that the upcoming Fortress Rumble update in MapleStory 2. The new contents in this update, which include a new type of dungeons that fit one player only and higher probability to let players win more Legendary gears, will immensely aggravate the ongoing abuse situation in the game and make it uncontrollable eventually, as far as the report is concerned.

The proof of this abuse has been given at the bottom of this report. The Redditor claimed that the evidence he provided in this case was "most solid one". He also pointed out there are "too many people" abusing this exploit on multiple servers, to stress this case not being an isolated incident at all. Below are the screenshots he uploaded as the proof of the authenticity of this issue.

The Abuser's Second Character info

Although the characters' names of this abuser are redacted, makes us nowhere to trace the real names in the game, the photos are evidently demonstrating that one Legendary weapon has been bounded to the two different characters at the same time. This kind of distortion doesn't add up whatsoever under the normal operation in MapleStory 2 and only results from items smuggling between one character and another by abusing the flaw.

Rapidly, the report caused a great sensation in the MapleStory 2 subreddit and garnered a flood of reflections from MapleStory 2 players within a few hours. Many players were venting their discontent over Nexon and the game itself. Some of them even presumed that this abuse incident would be the last straw for the group of people still with the illusion of this game's future, given that the rest of them have decisively quit the game a long time ago due to tons of exploits and unreasonable phenomenon.

Under the deep pressure from public opinion and misgivings for any loss of concurrent players, Nexon and the devs of Maplestory 2 had to adopt some quick fix to cope with this emergency. Several hours after the release of this report, MapleStory 2 official website has published an emergency note, stating that the Gear Mannequins in the game had been disabled temporarily in order to prevent exploit abusers from creating more alternate characters for smuggling items. There are no further details from the company for the next step so far. But we will follow it up as usual.

MapleStory 2 Enchant Changes And 64-Bit Client: The Misgivings About Fixing The In-game Progression Issues Still Exist

MapleStory 2 Project New Leaf got its latest sequel published. This one is about Enchantment changes and 64-bit client. As the third unveiled portion of the reputed "Progression Improvement Update" which tentatively would be launched on the 25th of this month, this major improvement will allegedly save much more cost of enchanting than any updates did before and thusly ease player's progression path.  Progression Improvement Update is considered as the second major update that the developers plan on bringing up into MapleStory 2, right behind the Economy Improvement Update which mostly features resolving MapleStory 2 Mesos ' issues. Enchantment Changes are reportedly concerned with two NPCs who help players enchant their equipment in the game, mostly. Those two NPCs are known as Ophelia and Peachy. In most cases, the post written about Enchant Changes was talking about how to make a difference to the current Peachy's enchants, due to its being priced out of th

The Elder Scrolls: Blades Tops The App Store In Its First Week On iOS

Bethesda’s mobile action-RPG tops the App store with one million downloads following its early access launch. Announced at E3 2018, The Elder Scrolls: Blades went live on iOS and Android last week for players who had signed up for early access, and has already been downloaded by more than one million users in its first seven days, and has already made almost $500,000 in revenue. Sensor Tower reports that the game is at No.1 in the download charts, with 42% (420,000) of downloads coming from the US. US players also accounted for 76% of spending, totalling around $380,000. This data is only for iOS, so total downloads are likely to be a fair bit higher. The game is free-to-play, but contains in-app purchases to hasten player progress, including Silver Chests that hold gold and items, like equipment, supplies, and materials. The Elder Scrolls: Blades received an update this week to iron out a few kinks, with Bethesda promising further balance tweaks, specifically for the Silver Chest.
