MapleStory 2: Why Does Nexon Try To Exclude Itself From Being Endearing?

As it launched the first expansion called Skybound and inaugurate another battlefield hovering over the sky, MapleStory 2, the sequel of widely praised MapleStory, was announcing and celebrating its two-month-release gala with the Maplers that have been supporting and caring for the game. It's not been so smooth on the path of running MapleStory 2 as Nexon expected since its premiere on October 10. Compared to its predecessor MapleStory as a worldwide megahit back in the 2000s, MapleStory 2 is now confronting the ever-decreasing concurrent players, as well as loss of tremendous nostalgic fanbase. Admittedly, MapleStory 2 had a good run in the very beginning though as its highlights and creativity were rapidly strangled with several chronic diseases sprawling all over the game afterward, such as Meso seller, UGC theft, the absurd level of RNG and correlative complaints... The game now has so many calamities to be dealt with that even if some new contents with intentionally headlined in the announcements look much less prominent than the vicinal crackdown alerts or patch notes in the bottom.

However, for the core fandoms of this cartoon-esque game since its first version, Nexon shouldn't have been incapable of reaching for their obsessed hearts and wallets by adhering to the trend of likability and feasible business strategy in MapleStory 2. Now, sadly to say this, but the game is ravaged by the hands of its creator Nexon and the repulsion from gamers towards MapleStory 2 is on the rise day by day.

Here is a perfect example of why certain policies within MapleStory 2 is alienating its core audiences:

About one week ago, a veteran Mapler named "msongy", started a thread in official MapleStory 2 forum criticizing about the overpricing for outfits in MapleStory 2 style shop. The Thread has rapidly drawn many attentions as well as resonances over the forum with plenty of viewers hopping in and standing up for the point of view.

The fact that the headmost critic has pointed out is the holistic ridiculously high prices of outfits Nexon had set previously. The cheapest outfit in the Style Shop is a Snow Rabbit Set, which cost 81 dollars and the most expensive one is Glowing Star Outfit Package with 149 dollars pricing! No need to say that Nexon completely lost his mind on the pricing of a video game's Cosmetic which the sole functionality it has is just to make the wearers look appealing to others. Apparently, the devs of MapleStory 2 have overestimated the popularity of the game among the fandoms and been failing at fit in the mindset of the majority of consumers. There are a lot of ready-made good business practices out there and Nexon's movements don't fit in with any of them whatsoever. The perfect examples come to those two video games - League of Legends(LOL for short) and Defense of the Ancients II(Dota 2 for short), which both are the most popular and worldwide praised MOBA video games with their player bases 100 times and 10 times respectively bigger than MapleStory 2, have the widely appreciated microtransactions within the games, including Cosmetic and Outfit products. Unlike MapleStory 2, LOL and Dota 2 have been selling a variety of characters' cosmetics over several years at a very reasonable price - Protests affirmed that all heroes' skins from both games cost no more than 10 dollars. Even a younger game but with more zooming likability, Fortnite, which now has 100 million fandoms all over the world, names the price of a legendary-rank outfit at $15.  So maybe it's the time for Nexon and MapleStory 2 devs to reflect on their own failings and patch up all the wounds within.

MapleStory 2 Enchant Changes And 64-Bit Client: The Misgivings About Fixing The In-game Progression Issues Still Exist

MapleStory 2 Project New Leaf got its latest sequel published. This one is about Enchantment changes and 64-bit client. As the third unveiled portion of the reputed "Progression Improvement Update" which tentatively would be launched on the 25th of this month, this major improvement will allegedly save much more cost of enchanting than any updates did before and thusly ease player's progression path.  Progression Improvement Update is considered as the second major update that the developers plan on bringing up into MapleStory 2, right behind the Economy Improvement Update which mostly features resolving MapleStory 2 Mesos ' issues. Enchantment Changes are reportedly concerned with two NPCs who help players enchant their equipment in the game, mostly. Those two NPCs are known as Ophelia and Peachy. In most cases, the post written about Enchant Changes was talking about how to make a difference to the current Peachy's enchants, due to its being priced out of th
