As the growing clamour for the permanent ban over the exploit's abusers is running rampant, Nexon, the publisher of MapleStory 2, started to take this crisis more seriously than it had ever been. The crisis of this exploit abuse, which firstly was revealed by a Redditor two days ago, has been temporarily taken care of by the official emergency measures a few hours later. But clearly, many MapleStory 2 players considering themselves as "victims" or "punchbags" in this crisis or some previous ones have been calling for a severer punishment such as permanent suspensions for all their accounts, upon the "criminals" - cheaters been abusing in-game exploit for months. They now assemble in the official website forum, Discord, FaceBook and any other social media frontlines to denounce the abuse incident and scream for crackdowns.
So far, Nexon hasn't taken further actions against the abusers other than the first quick fix released two days ago.
Possibly out of misgivings upon more loss of players, especially high-end ones, Nexon was still reluctant to take a hard line against the minority of players who had got involved in the abuse of this exploit. Being conscious of the ambiguous mentality of Nexon has behind the crisis, some of the protesters determined to take more radical measures to remedy the upcoming "reconciliation" once for all. Hence the clash was brought into the open lately.
Early this morning, some Maplers were complaining in the official forum about when they were streaming in Twitch and requesting to ban the exploiters, bots and remove the Fair Fight Mechanics, yet resulted in 3-day account's suspension by Moderators later. Apparently, Nexon has been bored with all sorts of campaigns for aggressive, mind-blowing, brain dead proposals demanding an instant effective eradication of some odious in-game flaws and contents that it will never be able to patch up. The company's actions towards these appeals, which may have been interpreted as reckless and arbitrary, still were rational to some extent as they refused to propagate any disadvantageous slogans, calls, spamming from the protesters to plenty of unwitting people so that no one will bad-mouth the game even if it already went downhill for a long time.
Other than that, reportedly, all players who played the abusers' role in the incident have been received 90-day accounts' suspension not long ago. Although there are not any of pictures, announcements, videos to verify the authenticity of this news, some are convinced that this measure wouldn't be the best hope even if it was true.
